The EHAC program is designed for the public to learn the earliest warning signs of heart attack and take proactive steps to save lives. So what are the warning signs of a heart attack? Following are what are considered “specific” symptoms of a heart attack:

  • Chest discomfort
  • Chest pressure
  • Chest ache
  • Chest burning (often confused with heartburn)
  • Chest fullness
But there are also “non-specific” symptoms that are just as important to act upon:
  • Weakness
  • Excessive tiredness
  • Nausea
  • Sweating
  • Pain/ache in the jaw
It’s important to act quickly if you encounter someone experiencing these symptoms and get them to a hospital to be examined. Early intervention is the best way to prevent permanent heart damage or death. And David pointed out that most cardiac events happen at home, so don’t you want to be able to have the training necessary to save someone you love? If you or your office would are interested in the Hands-Only CPR training, please contact David Hiltz at CodeOne.  ]]>
